Common Medical Procedures & Conditions Requiring Home Health Care:
Whitsyms In-Home Care recognizes that Alzheimer’s and dementia affect each person differently, meaning there is no one way to provide care. That is why we will work with you and your loved one to determine which services are most important for safety, mental health and physical well-being, providing the customized care that is necessary for the highest quality of life for the person with Alzheimer's and their loved ones.
The care providers we refer may ensure your loved one’s safety in their own home, and assess their needs on a personal basis, adapting a daily routine to support your loved one with creativity and flexibility.
Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care services can include:
Constantly evaluating client’s condition and care regimen
Respite care is all about taking care of the caregiver. We understand that caring for an elderly or ill loved one can take a toll on your personal and professional life, so we refer care providers that can offer the safe, reliable respite care Orlando seniors and their families need.
Respite care offers family caregivers temporary relief from the physical and emotional burdens of caregiving, reducing stress and preserving family stability. Respite care is an important part of an overall home care strategy and can be offered in the home or a variety of other settings.
A referred care provider can be brought into
the home for a specific period of time to provide
oversight and care to your loved one, allowing
you to leave the home or have personal time to
take care of your own needs.
We can refer a care provider who specializes in
Alzheimer’s and dementia care to provide care
for your loved one for a specified period of time.
Respite is especially important when caring for a
loved one with Alzheimer’s, as it can be a physically
and emotionally draining task. By having a Respite
care provider with experience in Alzheimer's Care,
you can take a break from your caregiving duties
so you can return refreshed and healthy.
Qualified care providers can perform additional
support during a stay at the hospital, giving your
loved one constant care and attention during some
or all of their stay, and keeping family members up-to-date.
Sometimes you need a temporary care provider to
stay with your loved one overnight if you’re in need
of a good night’s sleep or need to travel. With
overnight Respite Care, your loved one will be looked
after by one of the qualified care providers we refer,
ensuring safety and companionship while you’re away.
If you are planning a trip with your loved one and
need extra assistance during your travels, we can
refer a care provider to travel with you and perform
necessary care. They will be discreet and compassionate,
allowing your family to enjoy the trip and each other’s
company, while keeping your loved one safe and
properly looked after.

Whitsyms In-Home Care, an American In-Home Care company, refers care providers that can perform a full array of live-in care services, so your loved one can age in the comfort and familiarity of their own home, and you can rest easy knowing your loved one is not alone.
The care provider(s) will live in your loved one's home, and typically becomes an integral part of the household and will share meals, becoming a trusted caregiver, confidant, and friend. You will work together with the care provider to determine the exact schedule of services that will be performed for your loved one, and when these services will be performed, including times for care provider breaks and sleeping. A live-in care provider is required to have a certain amount of hours of uninterrupted sleep while working with your loved one.
It is important to note that Live-In care is not a substitute for 24-hour monitoring. Individuals who require constant care and monitoring 24-hours a day are not usually good candidates for this type of care, because they will likely need multiple care providers to remain in a home environment.
We will refer a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) to perform Personal Care services for you or your loved one. These care providers can perform many different services for those who regularly require “hands on” personal care, needing consistent help to remain at home. All of these services can be personalized to meet the needs of you and your family.
Companion care is an important part of the in-home care process, allowing individuals not requiring extensive care or assistance the ability to age in place without being lonely or unsafe. The Companion or Homemaker care providers that we refer can perform several services for those who don’t require “hands on” care, but do need a little help to remain at home.
All of these Companion Care services can be personalized to meet the needs of you and your family:
